During her first visit to Brussels as UNDP Administrator [and Chair of the UN Development Group], Helen Clark met with the President and Members of the European Parliament, the President of the European Council, the High Representative of Foreign Affairs and Security Policy/Vice President of the Commission and a number of European Commissioners. She presented European Parliament President Jerzy Buzek with the fifth annual UN-EU Partnership Report “Improving Lives” She also addressed a joint meeting of the European Parliament’s Foreign Affairs and Development Committees on the Millennium Development Goals, climate change and policy coherence for development.
