We would like to remind you of the Millenium International Documentary Film Festival which takes place in Brussels until 5 May. This year’s edition focuses on youth and the global challenges they face. In addition to more than 50 film screenings, conferences and discussions will be organised to debate the future of the Millennium Development Goals after 2015.
Documentary films offer a unique insight into the lives of people directly affected by the Millennium Development Goals, and have the power to “ inspire change, mobilise and unite us around our common goal: a better world for all of us” says Antonio Banderas in a special message addressed to the Millenium Festival.
The festival has already attracted very high profile personalities including Yoo (Ban) Soon-taek, wife of Ban Ki-moon, Secretary-General of the United Nations, and Rebeca Grynspan, UN Under-Secretary-General and UNDPAssociate Administrator.
To highlight the International Year of Sustainable Energy for All, we are screening “The Light Bulb Conspiracy” on Tuesday, 24 April at 6:30pm at the Goethe Institute Brussels.
