On 5 July, the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD) launched its “World Investment Report 2012: Towards a New Generation of Investment Policies“.
The Report contains a detailed analysis of global and regional investment trends, national policy developments and special topic on the new generation of investment policies. It also contains a comprehensive investment policy framework for sustainable development, which provides detailed guidelines for national and international investment policymaking.
To mark the launch, the United Nations Regional Information Centre for Western Europe (UNRIC) hosted a presentation of the report given by Mr. Daniël Van Den Bulcke, Emeritus Professor of International Management and Development of the University of Antwerp and Chair of the Advisory Council of the EuroChina Centre of the Antwerp Management School. We took this opportunity to ask him about the key highlights of the report.
