EU-UN Women-Rwanda Call for Action on Financing for Gender Equality

Countdown to_KoreaThe Government of Rwanda, European Union and UN Women held a global high-level meeting on Increasing Accountability and Development Effectiveness through Gender-Responsive Planning and Budgeting in Kigali from 26 to 28 July 2011.

A key output of the global high-level meeting was a global call for action that articulates policy recommendations based on shared good practices and challenges that will contribute to the Fourth High Level Forum on Aid Effectiveness (HLF-4) in Busan, Korea in November 2011.

 

The meeting brought together representatives from ministries of finance, sector ministries, multilateral organizations, bilateral donors, civil society organizations, and expert academics from thirty countries worldwide to join efforts for accelerated action on gender-responsive budgeting (GRB).
