On Sunday, 3 June, the city of Brussels will celebrate World Environment Day with an open-air festival in the Parc Cinquantenaire. The theme of this year’s celebration is “Sustainable Food” which has inspired the United Nations Team in Brussels to develop our stand on the importance of bees for biodiversity and food production.
We have teamed up with Artigraf, a local craft company, to offer crafts, games and bee dancing for children and their families. We will also provide information on the link between bees and food and the significance of declining bee populations. Join us between 12h and 19h for tonnes of bee fun!
World Environment Day, observed globally on 5 June, marks a day when people come together to ensure a cleaner, greener and brighter outlook for themselves and future generations. The theme of this year’s observance is green economy.
